Fearless: The writing project

Filed under: Uncategorized — naveen gupta @ 7:13 pm

I tried to battle, I could not
Before I started I had lost
A feeling not known before
I knew I had grown up

What is fearless?

Less fear or no fear?
Fear but not fear?
Fear but not show the fear?
Fear but overcome the fear?
Feared for no fear?
Anti fear?
You knowing no fear?
Others knowing you dont know fear?

Fear noone but god?
Fear noone but unknown?
Fear noone but your fears?
Fear noone but the fear itself?

Rainbow: The writing project

Filed under: Uncategorized — naveen gupta @ 12:47 am

A social worker lately told me, a person gives up coz they can’t see the end of the rainbow, in context of criminal rehabilitation!
Could not have been a better timing. Had it been different times I wouldn’t have agreed, but I think I would now. I used to not believe it before, when I used to think that people give up coz they want to but it appears that no body would ever want to.
When they can’t see the end of rainbow they lose faith. And that is when all is lost. This is what they would call theory of small wins. It’s important that we have smaller rainbows, through which we make the journey spanning the larger rainbow.

Create smaller goals. Whether it’s weight gain, violin lessons, career or even happiness. You need to see the end of the RAINBOW!

Here we have another phenomenon set to become a rage. Kolaveri Di- the soup song has just been released on youtube only 7 days back and its already clocked 2 million views. Well yes its obviously a rage but I still remember the 1st day when everyone was over facebook praising the song. Well yes I was sure something real and big was up.

Its a song that just gets to you and doesn’t leave. However I was just searching over the net for the true meaning of the song, but moreover I wanted to find out why it is such a rage. Now the answer I have come to find it noone really knows.
It lead me to question that why can’t it just be a good song. Well I found a few answers and a few I didnt. However came upon this blog giving a few meanings of the words in the song.

So here are a few words with their meanings as given in blog by krzna.

Soup: Love failure
Soup Boys: Guy who has been dumped by a girl
Soup Song: Love Failure Song
Moonu: Moon (also refers to Number 3 in Tamil)
Mama: Dude
Kolaveri: Murderous Rage/ Killer Rage
Di: used to usually call girls in a crude way (some says its shortened form of de(ar) and boys are called ‘da’ which is shortened form of darling)
Kai: hand
Bovu:   bye-bye shown by the girl resulting in failure

I ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now.  I will be posting on this blog once a day for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore asking for others’ help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.

Cinderella Story

Filed under: Uncategorized — naveen gupta @ 4:07 am

Cinderella was a girl with not much dreams. She was ill treated by everyone. Her step sisters or her stepmother or her father never treated her with the respect she truly deserved. In fact she was the recipient of any bad time that anyone was facing. So if her stepsister had an argument with her boy friend, she was the one abused; if her mom fought with her dad she was the one to get the bashing.

It was very similar the day when it went over the roof. Her stepsister had a breakup with her boyfriend and she vented out all her anger on her. Cinderella was abused and even got kicked by her sister. Cinderella was sitting in the courtyard crying and cursing her luck and lord & angels who were so unfair to her. That moment an angel appeared before her and said “Don’t be sad my girl. We are not unfair to you. Don’t think of yourself as unlucky to be on receiving side of all this frustration. You share our work, to take our grief from this world. You share our workload of relieving people and you shall never go unrewarded. Whenever someone is hurt and he hurts you and becomes happy, just think that you are serving the lord’s purpose of removing that hurt from world. And your tears will never go in vain. You will be rewarded for lord’s work.” The angel disappeared and the rest is still a fairy tale.

There is something else

Filed under: Uncategorized — naveen gupta @ 12:39 pm

“Love without expecting”, “Just Give” phrases seem so philosophical but seem wonderful. Not only that, idealistic to a large extent, it’s not only tough to get any close to them but even just keep trying is such a difficult assignment you just won’t want to live all your life. You can always go for a walk on the most treaded, but to walk on ideals takes enormous effort and determination. Not just determination but certainly there is a certain amount of luck involved in keeping us on the right path. Had it not been the way then what would explain someone’s birth in a nice family, being imbibed with good values from early life and not only that what is that that keeps one on that correct path. Surely its not just someone’s determination and sheer will that keeps the cart straight, its surely something else. ‘Itni shakti hamein dena daata’ now these lines have started making some sense.
